The work presents two figures: a woman resting on one bank of a river, and a white deer on the opposite side. The river becomes a boundary between two worlds — the familiar and domesticated, and that which is mysterious, elusive, perhaps spiritual.

The white deer has long symbolised purity, transcendence, and the search for meaning. The woman, immersed in silence, appears to perceive something that escapes logic — a moment of encounter that may never fully occur, and yet changes everything. deer

Without a trace is a story about moments that are difficult to hold onto, but that remain within us long after they have passed.
