The work emerged from my experiences of motherhood and is an expressive image of a nursing mother. The process of feeding children carried many conflicting emotions — from closeness and tenderness to exhaustion and uncertainty.
The Feeders speaks about the universal dimension of motherhood: care, responsibility, and strength, as well as the social tension that often accompanies a young mother. In this work, I aimed to capture the truth of these experiences — their beauty, complexity, and emotional depth, without embellishment or idealisation.
