The work consists of three elements and exists on the threshold between relief and textile art. The triptych is an illustration of a fairy tale I wrote about the Black Fog, in which the individual weavings function as psychological portraits of the characters. The story follows the transformation of Joanna, who, filled with anxiety, seeing no hope for herself and not believing in her own strength, sets out to confront her fear.

It is a narrative about recognising the sources of personal fears and overcoming them. About fighting inner demons, breaking psychological barriers, and trusting one’s inner voice. The titular Black Fog takes away all hope, extinguishes the will to fight, and absorbs all light. The protagonist’s journey shows how difficult it can be to perceive beauty in the everyday. How frightening the unknown can be, and that cultivating one’s inner “garden” is a necessity, while the shaping of personality is a lifelong process.
